HIHI this is val! and this is my first time posting in 1.75 years coz i finally figured out how to login and post with fiona's wonderful help (i'm using her acct).

so in about 33 hours i will be at terminal 3 with my 3 big 1 small trolley bags, waiting in line to board my flight to UK. the insomnia is kicking in now at 1.40a.m and while i'm usually passed out on my bed, today is different. i'm really anxious, and i was lying in bed a while ago with my eyes super wide open, thinking about all this stuff floating around in my head and i couldnt sleep. so here i am =) bugging you guys. and anyway i wanted to say a few things before i slept.

gosh how time really flies! i look back now at the class gatherings we had; and our fun classes (with ms chua and mr lam!); and the talkative recesses; and really awesome spastic group moments and i can't believe it was over 5 months ago. i really miss those times and gosh if i could just come back for one full day and go for classes with you guys i would be so =DD!

thank you all for the wonderful gifts at my farewell. the powerpoint was really sweet, well put together, and very very touching. i really appreciate all the work and effort that went into it =) and the scrapbook was the bomb! i was in shock when i got it (and nearly went into cardiac arrest) and for once in a really long time i was speechless for quite a while. it's the most awesome thing i've ever received! EVERRR!

i achieved great pleasure and amusement afterwards when i flipped through the book and read some of the letters written. i shall keep it forever!

Hey v11,

There'll be an intra-house event organised by lynx coming up this friday! The 2 events will be Captain's Ball & Human Checkers.

Our house is the only one to have this, and the purpose of this is for lynx people to get to know each other better. So if you people want to go wild and play games, get to know your new seniors, or if you have some eye-candy from some lynx class or whatever reasons, tell me u're interested and i'll try form a team among our class.

Note that this is INTRA-house not INTER-house, so there will be no house points awarded, BUT there will be attractive prizes to be won. Also since no house points will be awarded, though i encourage u ppl to go, i wun be bugging yall time and again until u all go. Lots of work coming up and Review Tests right, so u all weight the costs and benefits then decide lor. (I've been listening in econs!)

Hope you've been enjoying the first three days of 2009 :) But anyway, about the chalet, which is this Wednesday (:D yay!!) I've found out that there is a shuttle bus service from Pasir Ris MRT (taxi stand) to the resort itself. :)

The suitable time slots would be 1345 and 1415, so I suggest the 'check-in crew' meet at 1330 (to allow 15 minutes for late people :p), and those who want to come a bit later, you can arrange to meet at 1415. I'll be taking the 1345 one, for checking in issues. So, yeah do arrange for convenience sake :)

Do tell me if you're taking the 1345 bus, so at least I know who to wait for. :D

P.S. Elgin, don't take the 1345 slot...LOL, okay just kidding, up to you. :p

For those coming later, I'll just list down the time slots available for the shuttle bus service: 1515, 1615, 1715, 1915, I think that should do, or if you want the complete list...2015, 2115 and 2215. :)

Hello everybody! :)

This is Evan here :D Today, I bring myself to you to dispatch good news!!! :) And of course, the relief that it brings!! :D

Class chalet has been booked!! :D At an exclusively low rate, yay! :D Since my dad's a member, got the chalet at only $96.00!! (instead of the usual $210.00 I think).

So, I'm here just to inform you of the little details:

Dates: 7th-8th January (Wednesday-Thursday)
Check-in time: 2.30pm
Check-out time: 10.30am (I find this rather disturbing, but anyway 18 hours of fun is still good :D)

It's a 2-storey unit so, sleeping should not be an issue (if it was in the first place, and if you wanted to) and there should be enough room for all, so cya there!! :D:D:D

anyway i called up NSRCC probably known as the safra country club(the one near changi with big chalets blah blah)

Only available for 2 days 1 night from 4th-10th jan. I couldnt check the dates and which chalet cause their comps had probs ): But you can go look it up at their website i guess :)

Please tell us if you guys want a 2 days 1 night chalet at NSRCC or have a 3 days 2 nights one at coasta sands. Tag or sms evan if you guys have opinions :)

CLASS OUTING!

Meeting Venue: VJC bus stop outside Neptune Court
Attire: Whatever you wish to wear, but please bring along a change of clothes and for girls, dark tees in case of impromptu dunking.

Yea so most probably we will be cycling for about 2 hours the most? Cos there is a bicycle kiosk that rents out one bicycle at $7 an hour, but gives another hour for free (i.e. $7 for 2 hours). Of course, those who wish to bring along their own bicycles are free to do so. For those who do not know/prefer not to cycle, you could bring along some skates and rollerblade. Then perhaps just play some ball games on the beach. Saying that, it would be greatly appreciated if some people were to bring their BALLS along. I have a suggestion from one self-professed manly individual that perhaps some people could build sandcastles instead. So for those who feel like doing so please feel free to bring your sandcastle-building tools. Also, for those who feel that the time could be further adjusted please feel free to let me know via msn, tagboard or sms. So far I have received one request to bring the outing earlier.

And last but not least, for those who already know the existence of this outing, please pass it on to other people. For those who had just learnt about the outing from this post, please pass it on too. The more the merrier :D

About the class chalet,
I found out that we dont need to be a safra member to book the NSRCC or the tanah merah safra country club chalet but it will be expensive though.
And i also found out that my cousin is in the NS now so maybe i could get him to book for us.

Here are the rental fees per night.

Safra members: $130
NS men: $144
Citizens: $187

All these are during the off-peak period.

Hi people,

Thought for a long time before deciding to put this up.
Yeah so, i guess we, as a class have not been very bonded since the start of the year probably due to everyone being extremely busy due to the piles of homework and school. So, can we take this holidays as an opportunity get together as a class and do the things that a class does. Lets not waste anymore time and have all the fun we can have in the following days as a class shall we?
The chalet and the christmas party would definitely be great chances to get to know each other better and have great fun as ONE. :D

this is the only available chalet and times from now till 2 Nov, which is when the scholars are going home (:

10 ~ 11 October, which is the following weekend.
Costa Sands Resort
Pasir Ris: Friday, Saturday or Sunday
Downtown East: Sunday only (which is kind of redundant, since we have school on monday):
*minimum 2 nights booking.
Price: Single-420
Double-580 (most likely a double as the guys and girls should be sleeping separately;)

aloha resorts in changi and loyang are all fully booked :( so this is the only place left, unless someone has got relatives that can help (:

there's still lots of room for booking during late november and december, but most of us are going away for holidays. plus it will be super peak period, so prices are going to rise. we could also have the chalet during the first week of 09 since school will only start late. let me know what you think! :D hopefully, by tuesday lastest.

Hi everyone, what I'm addressing, even though i don't really post much, is the seriousness of 'discipline'. I really want to tell all of you, that teachers love us, care for us, want the best for us. And i think the just way of repaying their deeds is the same as what they are giving us, the respect they deserve. Ms. Chua doesn't like other teachers complaining to her about the bad stuff about your class and I'm sure all of you don't either. Also, as compared to CA1, our results have dropped and that's not a very good thing isn't it?

Teachers' Day is coming, and I'm sure all of you are eagerly awaiting your gifts to our teachers, but what would make the perfect Teachers' Day gift would be nothing but the best from us. We need to show to them that we can and will do well for EOYs, right? Teachers have complained about our unresponsiveness and our rowdiness (to a certain extent) in class. So, please put up your best during lessons, not a show, and show to the teachers that the reasons they love us are justified ones. So, put in your best, stay happy and cheerful as a class and conquer EOYs, as if it were your last and give it your all.
